Michael Kerr

Michael is a dedicated and compassionate Consultant Psychologist who is passionate about building strong therapeutic relationships and supporting individuals through life’s challenges. His interest in human connection and working collaboratively with people is what inspired him to pursue a career in psychology. He firmly believes that everyone deserves access to mental health care and the support needed to navigate difficult periods in their lives.

Michael works with a diverse range of clients, including children, and is committed to creating a safe, respectful, and empathetic therapeutic environment. He places great importance on developing trust and fostering a collaborative relationship with each client to support meaningful change and personal growth.

Michael has extensive experience working with neurodivergent clients and a particular interest in neuroinclusive practice. He also has a strong focus on male mental health and wellbeing. He is passionate about supporting men and boys to engage with their mental health and continues to expand his skills and knowledge in this area.

Through his training, education and experience he has developed a strong foundation in a range of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Client Centred Therapy (CCT). He takes an individualised approach to therapy, tailoring interventions to suit each client’s unique needs and goals. He is also competent across a variety of psychological assessments including Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder assessments, Autism assessments, Cognitive assessments, personality assessments and behavioural assessments.
